...after a full night of blackjack on Fremont Street, we loaded the Due West-mobile, and headed north to St. George; home of the Dixie Rotary Bowl. The Western Washington Vikings took on the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers, and Due West was there to provide the half-time entertainment. We rocked out with 'Bible & The Belt', 'Tell Her', and '22 Hours', and the people seemed to love it! Big shout-out to Rustin and the gang at Poll Sound for the great stage set-up. It was a good time. After the game, we were invited over to the local Ruby River steak house, where we were treated by Steve and his staff to the biggest and best meal of the month! They stuffed us! Those guys are AWESOME! They've even got Due West music in rotation playing throughout the restaurant, how cool is that? We were so grateful for their hospitality and generosity, that we decided to give them our steel player Tommy's resonator guitar. ( how nice of us....nah, it was nuthin' :) ) We all signed it, and they hung it on their wall. So if you're in the St. George area, make sure you head over to Ruby River to check it out! :) After our stuffing, we poured ourselves back in the Due West-mobile, and rolled back down to Vegas, where we slept the ENTIRE night away...that felt great. Thank you Rotary Bowl for having us back for the second year in a row; we'd love to come do it again next year! DW
